Sculpture Skills
Saturdays: July 14, 21, 28; 10-11:30 am

Trek the garden and galleries to look at sculptures from all sides. We will talk about how sculptures are made and use our hands to build, mold, and carve, creating art in three dimensions using clay and other materials.

Animals on the Loose
Saturdays: August 4, 11, 18; 10-11:30 am
Joslyn Members: $30; General Public: $33
Art museums are full of animals and we will hunt down all kinds, from around the world. We’ll look at a tiger’s pattern, examine a crocodile’s texture, and even find a puss in boots. In the studio, we’ll create our own exotic and imaginative animals.

Toon Time
Saturdays: June 2, 9, 16, 23; 1-3 pm
Joslyn Members: $40; General Public: $44
This class will teach the basics of drawing cartoons. We will learn to tell visual jokes and how to exaggerate physical features to create over-the-top characters. We’ll use our characters to create a finished comic strip and create a class funny page.

arT-Shirts
Saturdays: July 14, 21, 28, August 4; 1-3 pm
Joslyn Members: $40; General Public: $44
Learn to design and alter t-shirts to make one-of-kind works of art! We will use basic screen-printing techniques, stamp designs using carved printing blocks, and alter our shirts by cutting, stitching, or knotting.
